What gets a reply
Anything with a number in it. If you have re-run one of the bench tests on different paper and got a different result, send the paper name, the measured grams per square metre and the number you got. Those get tested again and, if they hold up, written up as a correction with your name on it if you want it there.
What does not
Product pitches, sponsored post offers and link exchanges are all declined, without exception. Requests to remove an entry will be considered only where the entry is factually wrong, and the correction will be published rather than the entry deleted.
Response time
Usually within a week. The desk is not staffed, so a reply may take longer in a busy month. If you are writing about a specific entry, put its title in the subject line; those get read first.
