Using the site
You may read, print and use anything on this site for your own projects, including teaching a class or running a workshop. You may quote a measurement or a method with a credit and a link back to the entry it came from. You may not republish an entry in full, translate a body of entries and repost them, or feed the content to a service that reproduces it, without written permission.
No professional advice
Everything here is informational. Supply notes describe how specific materials behaved under specific conditions in one room; they are not a guarantee that the same material will behave the same way in yours, and they are not safety, health or legal advice. Adhesives, solvents, inks and pigments have their own safety documentation — read the manufacturer's sheet before you use anything in an enclosed space, and follow it where it disagrees with anything written here.
Accuracy and corrections
Measurements are recorded as taken, with the method described. Errors still happen: batches change, instruments drift, and a result that held at 45% relative humidity may not hold at 70%. If you find an error, report it and it will be checked and corrected in a dated update rather than removed. Nothing on this site is warrantied as accurate for any particular purpose.

This site displays advertising and may earn revenue from it. Advertisers do not see, review or approve entries, and no advertiser has any influence over what is tested or what the results say. Advertising is labelled where required and is kept out of the article body.
